Classic Rollers

These traditional blinds are simple in concept but need to be precisely made if they are to roll up and down without wandering off to the sides creating damage to the fabric edges. The mass produced roller blinds sold off the shelf in superstores are price driven and generally have small diameter tubes, flimsy bottom bars and cheap controls with little attention being paid to pattern alignment or operational details. The fabric being attached to the roller tube using double-sided adhesive tape.

Our high quality roller blinds are made using 32mm diameter aluminium tube for rigidity with a slot along the full length used to lock the fabric in place. The bottom bar is more substantial and the fabric is again pushed into its slot and locked in place. Top quality controls and brackets provide smooth trouble free operation. Each blind once it has been made is checked for alignment and smooth operation by quality control. Using this configuration the blind can be easily recovered with a fresh fabric to suit a new decor giving appreciable savings on the cost of a new blind.

How wide can we make a roller blind, wider than you think? We have made rollers in excess of four metres wide but of course the roller tube has a much larger diameter to maintain rigidity.
